NP’S Modern Shark TOOTH CATALOG Updated 11/17/2004
MODERN GREAT WHITE TEETH
The jaw positions of each tooth are denoted below. L & R refer to right and left jaw. The positions are labeled from center to back as A1 then A2 then I then P1, P2, …, P10. A: anterior I: eye position P: Posterior. This is standard shark jaw nomenclature.
Nature Preserved does not support the killing of the modern Great White Shark. The populations of this shark species are in significant decline. The vast majority of the teeth ever sold on this page came from 3 sharks which were accidentally killed by fisherman. They were subsequently studied. A database of the images of the teeth and their position is maintained by Nature Preserved and used for comparative studies.

Cleaning and Polymer hardening Free. If your specimen is not hardened, beware. Great White teeth usually deteriorate within a year if they get wet. Hardened specimens are weather resistant, my customers have had great results with these. Free cleaning refers to the removal of any remaining flesh material that may be on a few of the specimens. If you see it on the tooth your order, you may request free cleaning.
