What are my options for tooth whitening?

For more severe staining, we also offer such solutions as porcelain veneers, porcelain crowns, and dental bonding.
Are over the counter teeth whitening kits effective?
Over the counter teeth whitening kits are less effective than professional tooth whitening solutions because the bleaching solutions they use are less powerful. Kits that use a dental tray can also cause chafing and pain, as the trays are not custom fitted to your mouth.
How long will my whitening procedure take?
If you choose an in-office, or chairside teeth whitening procedure, the procedure may take place over one or two office visits, depending on how stained your teeth are and how bright you want your final results to be.
At-home professional whitening kits require several at-home applications over a period of weeks, depending on the degree of staining and the final whitening result you desire.
How long will the whitening effects last?
Depending on individual factors, results of professional teeth whitening are usually long-lasting. Patients who want to extend the whitening effects are advised to avoid such things as coffee, tea, red wine, and smoking, all of which can stain the teeth.
Can I have my teeth whitening repeated to maintain the results?
Yes. Many of our patients choose to have their teeth whitened at regular intervals, such as every six months or every year.
