Teeth Whitening Tricks
So you’ve lost that sparkle, you stop showing teeth in pictures, you’re self conscious about doing the tiger roar pose and you’re basically down in the rut because your teeth has gradually started to go from pearly whites to dull yellow like from all the coffee, tea, sodas, wine, berries, smoking- the list could go on. But, fret not because there are a few cost effective tricks you can do at home.
From your kitchen, you can use baking soda. Mix it with a little water to form a paste like mixture and use it to brush your teeth with your toothbrush. To improve this method, pick up some hydrogen peroxide from the store and gargle with it for awhile. It might make your gums burn a little so if you can’t stand it, then simply dip your baking soda paste in the hydrogen peroxide and brush. Do remember to brush with regular toothpaste after as well.
A few over the counter tricks can work too. Products such as whitening strips can be found everywhere, but is best to be bought from the pharmacy as they would carry the best brands. Just stick the adhesive side on your teeth and fold over, and discard after a certain period of time, which would differ based on the brand, so always check for instructions. Also, there is the whitening toothpaste which you can swap for your daily toothpaste. This product may take a little longer to work but it’s great for mild stains cause by daily activities.
Another thing you could try would take you back to your kitchen. Fruits are great for everything, and when it comes to your teeth, strawberries would be the best. Mash a few pieces together and brush your teeth with the paste formed. The fruit contains natural whitening agents which can work like a charm. But do remember to clean out your toothbrush and brush with regular toothpaste right after because the sugars can ruin the enamel of your teeth.
